About the Western Region P Award
AAF Western Region is introducing a new, BIG award!
Some names deserve to be remembered. Some legacies deserve to be carried forward. Today, we are proud to do both.
The AAF Western Region is honored to announce that our highest volunteer recognition — previously known as the Western Region Summit Award — has been officially renamed the Western Region Pace Award, in memory of a man whose fingerprints are on nearly every corner of our organization: the late, legendary Tim Pace.
Who Was Tim Pace?
Tim Pace was, simply put, the kind of leader every organization hopes to have, and rarely gets to keep long enough.
Over decades of service, Tim held nearly every leadership role District XI and the Western Region had to offer: District XI Governor, Legislative Chair, and Western Region Chair. He served as Chair of the AAF Council of Governors — one of only two individuals from District XI ever to hold that distinction — and was the proud recipient of the first-ever AAF District XI Silver Medal Award.
But titles never told Tim’s full story.
For years, Tim was the backbone of the Idaho Advertising Federation. Showing up, speaking up, and rolling up his sleeves for the betterment of every club, district, and member he touched. He was the person you called when you needed honest counsel. He didn’t always tell you what you wanted to hear, but he always told you the truth. And no matter which side of the line you landed on, Tim was right there beside you, working toward something better.
He was the reason colleagues got involved at the district level. He was the reason NSAC programs launched and thrived. He was the reason so many of us stayed and kept giving back for decades.
“I’m going to miss getting that advice that I could choose to ignore if I was inclined. Thank you for EVERYTHING you did for Idaho, District XI and the Western Region. You’ve left a strong legacy.” — AAF District XI Leadership
